As It says. I got a Galaxy 95T (EPT690010C) brought to me. If you push the button for the Talkback to be turned off its still on. You can hear and feel the switch clicking as it should but the Talkback wont quit working. Now the volume on the Talkback don't change the loudness of the Talkback when its in the off position, and it works just like it should when the Talkback is turned on.

The guy that owns this rig don't want the Talkback on but would like it to work like it should.
I'm not seeing the Galaxy Talkback resistor mod on the back side of the board or anything else that looks modded. Looks to be a stock radio.

Is it possible the switch/control pot has gone bad? This is the kind mounted on a board.

Any opinions or comments?
Thanks, Jerry...

Dont know about this one. I unplugged the wires that go to the board that connect to the switch and the muffled talkback sound that shouldn't be there is still there. So the switch is not the problem. I checked Q43 and D82. Still not understanding what is going on here. This one is weird.

Anyone else got any ideas on this?

Check the mic wiring as well. I noticed this on a cobra 148 I have, someone put a jumper from pin to pin for talkback, why I don't know, but I know when I removed it, the talk back went away.

I know what your saying about the mic wiring on that radio. But that is a 5 pin and this is a standard 4 pin. Not the same kind of animal. But thanks for the input.

The talk back that I'm hearing when the talk back is turned off is quite and muffled. Not like a fully turned on talkback. More like a bleed over type of sound.

Could be rf bleeding back into the radio. And my cobra is a 4 pin. It had a jumper between 2 pins. Not that that matters as this sounds like a different issue sorry can't help much. Good luck finding the issue. Does it do it with an external speaker as well??

Yes, with or without an external speaker. I guess it could be RF feedback. But I don't see anything that isn't factory in this radio. No mods or add-ons.

Thanks for the input. I did take a look at the mic jack and no extra wire or jumpers. I'm using my mic and I tried a second mic as well to cut that chance out.
