Save your money, add another hundred bucks or so and buy a used amateur radio HF set from Kenwood, Icom or Yaesu. It'll perform far better than any CB will.
Best advice so far especially if SSB is your mode. The final stages in real HF rigs just run circles around the 99 cent power supply transistors used in the PA stages of all high powered "CB's" today. I can't even begin to consider purchasing anything that uses these transistors as internal amplifiers because they were never designed for use in linear RF applications. Drift is non existent in newer HF rigs and the receivers are amazing in comparison.
