For me, the apprehension is in the time leading up to the test. Once I start I feel much better. But then again, I'm one of those goofs that likes tests.

I run through the questions that I am 100% on, then take my time with the rest.

Many multiple guess tests are really true/false. You can usually discard two answers as being far from the real answer. Then you are left with two similar but slightly different answers.

PASSED, Only missed 2 questions and I was finished with the test in less than 10 minutes .. They couldn't believe I was finished hehehehe I probably missed 2 due to not reading all the answers.

Yup on the agenda, as easy as the Hamtestonline made it I have started studying for the Extra and hope to take it at the Boxboro MA Event on the 28th

Even with hamtestonline, give yourself a little more time than that. I looked in my Extra class manual and found my receipt, I ordered it on 7/7/2008 and I tested on 7/19/2008 and was in the ULS on 7/23. I was working 3 12 hour days a week then and had the other 4 to study. There is a lot of info involved with the Extra test, what things are on a Smith chart, the bandwidth of an ATSC transmission, polar coordinates, and a lot of other things. Definitely get the Extra class license manual and study that, there are a lot of formulas to remember.

The big question is, is the extra privileges worth the time and money to study and test. My biggest motivation to go for extra was that I would be the only one in the ULS with my last name to have an amateur license and when I found out that I could go from zero to Extra at one testing session, that became the goal.
