Good decision. In case of total system failure Morse code will allow long distance communication without specialised gear.

I like the AA9PW site.
I took a quick look at your link; Don't know why you would pay. There are lots of ways to learn and all of them are "Free."
One of the best days ever was when my wife took and passed her code test. I was standing out in the hall listening and knew that she was gonna make it. The hometown of the sender was the same as her's IRL.
