WOW! A Hallicrafters SX-25 Super Definite receiver, Oh the memories.
In the late 1060's Dad bought a WWII Army Crash Boat (called a AVR 104 Ft long, not a luxury yate) made for picking up crashed aircraft during the War. It was converted into a Albacore Tuna fishing boat with a refrigerated 50 ton holding compartment.
It came with the SX-25 radio that was placed in the Officers Mess, next to the dinning table. Had it fixed and for years had a great time listening in to all the radio traffic and broadcasts and such. With a 300 foot long wire antenna I could pick up WLS in Chicago and all over the world. What a great thing for a creepie kid to be entertained.
