I wonder how many people will venture out in this heat to go to the fair? Was 109° this afternoon when I was there also the corsegold peddlers fair is on this weekend as well. When I got to hwy 41 and ave 12 my work van said outside temp was 113° at about 3:30 this afternoon.

We are going for the Derby.
Its going to be hot for sure, At least the grand stands are facing east, so your beer, and you will be in the shade.
It kind of like this every year we get used to it.
It was 103 at our place today, yep it's a heatwave.
My brothers place down in the valley was 110 this afternoon.

In spite of the temps, the destruction derby was sold out.

Out of 30 cars with only 2 girls driving , our grand daughter made it to the second round, we had a blast!
It was hot, but lots of shade in the beer garden lol.
They had cooling areas set up with misting systems that were great.
The humidity levels yesterday were down to 14% that's much better than 103 with 80% humidity, I feel for the guys that live in areas with that kind of heat.

Worked 14 hrs yesterday but today has been a blast. Local carnival.. kids riding rides, saw a couple buddies i haven't seen in years...then swimming at wife's cousins.. now home with a cold miller lite. Off tomorrow too!! (unless the phone rings. ) Love long weekends.. more than 1 day off is always a good time.

Home all is well with everyone else
