This year's smoked 17.5 pound turkey looks just like last years. Smoked it yesterday.

With a little influence on the side a lot of the bird was consumed last night by myself, wife, oldest son, and grandson.

Youngest son, daughter in law, granddaughter, and mother in law will be here today.

As I’m presently in NC, I’ll be by shortly.

Getting away from DC am always grateful. Someone will cruise-missile nuke that place someday.

But . . can’t stop I’ve made the Alabama line. An orbital slingshot around Memphis tomorrow, and Columbus, OH Saturday.

Looks very good. Xmas I’ll have some family with whom to celebrate. I’ve a new daughter-in-law studying for a board exam back home today, and her husband overseas. Nobody at my place except the dust bunnies.

Chicken Fried Steak. A West Texas specialty. Can’t be properly made easy of the Brazos River (don’t ask me why, but it’s true).

That meal with drink & dessert as shown was $12 with 20% tip.
