A 405 grain .45 jhp beside a .22 blank,my highly modified ruger mark III,my cobra .22 lr and .22 mag derringer,2 barrels for it plus got another not shown,my ruger blackhawk in .45 colt by my .22 derrenger.about half of my pistol collection

Yes, Poor Man's Magnum it was called by some many years ago. Good enough for any game animal in North America including the big bears. That and other hype around the cartridge made me interested years ago.

Maybe I fell for the hype. The Magnum word "punches some folks primer."

Kind of like Harley-Davidson...if I have to explain it you wouldn't understand.

Other not-so-popular cartridges I like are .30-40 Krag, 38-55 Winchester, 257 Roberts, 303 Savage.

I hunt often with 30-06, 308, and 270...but I like the .35 Whelen best. Fat .358" diameter bullet coming from a bottle necked .30-06 case suits me fine.

257 roberts id like to own,a very universal cartridge,load for varmin or deer and bigger

Rwb , Love my Ruger Mark ! Probably my most favorite gun to shoot , other than my other plinker " Scary Trigger " High Standard 22 cal . My Mark is Stainless same length barrel but " Bull " I have the wood target grips & still waiting to put a scope on mine after all these years ! After seeing that Red dot on yours you have me thinking !

The other thing I always wanted is a " Judge " not sure if it's that brand but they have one 45 cal & 4.10 3" mag . Bet Ralph has one ? Just guessing ! Also after seeing you holsters I found a whole bag while cleaning out , need to go through them & see if any are worth $ ( old ) .

im an enabler haha.
I installed volqusteen and tandom cross parts,the red dot made it consistant.
Another i like is my ruger 3 screw unconverted single six

Rwb , Got one ! Do you have the Mag cylinder ? Need to check , think Ralph & I had this discussion " I think mine is a 3 screw . Early 70's model .

No wish i had the mag cylinder. Pull hammer back,if you see the firing pin its unconverted ,if you see a plate over firing pin its either converted or newer build 1974 i think is when the change was made.the 3 screws will be 1,pivot screw for trigger,2 pivot screw for hammer,3 is for cylinder lock
