Went to L'anse aux Meadows today to the only confirmed viking settlement in North America outside Greenland. Pretty fool actually. After that we went exploring and ended up in a really small community called Raleigh. While turning around at the pier I spotted a dirt road up over a barren wasteland on the other side of the harbour and commented to my wife "Man would I love to get up there but it looks like a 4-wheeler path so not likely." We drove around the harbour in that general direction and loe and behold it was a single lane roadway up over the barrens! It was thru the Burnt Cape ecological reserve and traffic was permitted but ONLY on the existing roadway. No 4 wheelers etc. There are rare arctic plants on the barrens. That's all I needed to see was permission to enter.

Thanks for the pic's Capt ! Some of the best fishing grounds in the world there ! Someday if I get lucky I'll be able to drop a line in those waters . Absolutely Beautiful ! 73 & God Bless , Leo
