Help with XFORCE XM400 adding SSB delay

Hi all, I have an XFORCE XM400 amplifier that does not have the SSB delay so I plan to add a 1000uf capacitor and switch so it will but I am not 100% sure where to connect the capacitor to the relay, can someone look at the picture attached of the relay in my amp and tell me which post is positive and which is negative (ground) so I can connect the capacitor to it? I have e-mailed and texted XFORCE but can not seem to get an answer. Thanks for any help. Adam

All you have to do is take the + side of the 1000uf cap and put it to the pole on the relay where the keying transistor solders to, and wire a switch from the - side of the capacitor to ground. That should get you some delay. If the delay is too short, increase the capacitance, if it's too long, decrease capacitance. Hope this helps.

HI, as mentioned in my post Xforce does not answer. I have e-mailed them, texted them, and even called them for a couple of days, no answer. Anyone familiar with the relay and can help? Thanks, Adam

Exitthirteen pretty much gave you the game. Other than that, you take a chance if you have no idea of what you are doing. Best to get with a local if they know what they are doing. If no one is around; then send it back to XForce.

Hi Exit Thirteen and all who are reading this, thanks to ExitThirteens GREAT help I did the delay mod and it is PERFECT. Xforce finally did answer me and was very nice and sent me a diagram but of course I already had ExitThirteens help so I was all set. Thanks again! Adam
