Cool! Didn't know Sams had original-manufacturer manuals for sale.

The last few volumes of the Sams CB series contained only reprinted copies of that kind of manual, not the Sams-produced "Circuitrace" data found in the first 289 or so of the "CB" series of books.

As if the word "manufacturer" applies. Sears was the radio's importer.

Does look like a Hitachi-made radio on the outside.

Still a real surprise to see that they have it at all.

I'll take it any way I can, Lucky is less work. The FCC used to keep documentation for all of the radios that were submitted for approval on part 95 citizen band service. Have you checked those numbers?

I couldn't find anything for it either.
Which PLL chip is in it?
Can you look at the chassis/board and see if it has a Uniden number on it?
Had a customer send me this to tune up, made contact with him on 10 watts 39 LSB, Oregon to Florida. Original paperwork has a schematic :)
