That could very well be the case! Not to mention the fact that there are so many scammers out there. Just list something for sale on your local classifieds (and places like craigslist) and you'll get 1 legit call out of 10
That is so true. Funny thing, I said the exact same thing myself(I pointed at the steel barrel that I have in the back yard and told the guy I rather put it there and burn it). One time a teenage couple came to look at some camper parts I had for sale and let them have whatever they wanted( needless to say they were so grateful because I refused payment). I have ZERO tolerance for "those clowns" that like you said want to pay $10 for a $200 item.
Don't worry Andy! I have said that before as well but I never actually threw a radio out. There is always somebody that might get started in the hobby plus, even if the radio doesn't work, there are techs that could use it to work out some of the faults with it or use the parts for another radio. I would be willing to support the shelter for used and abused radios.
Its all electronics now for some reason. Anything electronic is worth thousands according to the ebay idiots. Im just trying to find an old radio shack/realistic car eq or similar , they used to be everywhere for like $40. Now people want $200, $350 etc. WTF? What in the hell is wrong with these stupid idiots! Very frustrating and irritating for sure
Yes that seems to be the problem. Even at ridiculous prices availability is still an issue!
The problem is the breaks in the supply chain that covid caused worldwide. Its still rippling because of the variants .
