I have my general and like to check into nets if I just happen to find one. I recently accidentally came across an Olivia digital net on 80 meters a few weeks ago...
What are some of the most well known nets that most people tend to check into? I have heard of a century net? Apparently it's a DX net that is good to rack up a lot of overseas contacts?

In the late 80's and 90's I was a regular on the century 3905 WAS net and the maritime mobile services net through about 8 years ago. I would monitor the MMS net and provide relays if needed to net control but I had the station then to do that. I still monitor the MMS net though on 14.300mhz.

Daily DX net on 20 meters.....14.237 around 600am cst
Some days several Dx stations on from around the world.

Then there's always the Toenail Growin' Net, and the What Pills Are You Taking? Net. Funny thing though, it's not the REALLY old hams that I hear talking about this stuff constantly. It's just the 60 year old crowd.
