HOLY COW

I had one once.... It was nothing to get too happy about........... I sold it a week later.. It just didnt do it for me..

Yep, even as minty as that one is, the price is just tooooo much.
The other bad thing...the 2340 was made just as the radios went from 23 channel to 40, and there is a handful of chips used to create the PLL section, not like most rigs that used a single chip.
It was a kind of add on/work around to bring it to market.
If something goes wrong I do not think one would ever be able to find the parts to bring it back to life.
It is a sweet looking radio tho.....
Wish I still had mine at times, I checked in Many a Sat night on the Old Tube Radio Network with one just like that.

when i first saw the price i though sonar was a misspelt stoner, you'd need to be out your tree on angel dust to pay that for an ancient radio. god i thought the morons were only over here when it came to john nugget modified cobras, but the price of that old dog takes some beating.

i think Mack's applying for understatement of the millenium with "yes it is seriously overpriced" the word seriously doesn't even begin to cover how over priced it is. catastrophically might be a bit closer, but i doubt it.

The seller didn't set the price, the bidders did. The radio opened at $150 and was bid up. If the bidder actually pays for it, all this shows is that there are some VERY SERIOUS cb radio collectors out there with money to burn. Just like the guy who pays mega-bux for a mint E-jag or rare American muscle car and never drives it, this radio will probably never be plugged in. It will just sit on the shelf forever.
