If I sold it for that much, I'd pack the wife and kid for a short holiday and hand deliver it, as long as he lived in CONUS. I'd want to put my eyeballs on the dude or dudette that paid that much. Hell, if they weren't to dorky, I'd even take them out to dinner on my dime before coming back home.
I need to start picking up some of these here Sonar Radio's.

And when he does his next of kin will either sell it for pennies on the dollar or it will wind up in a dumpster... Sadly, this has happened. I heard of an OTer ham that passed a few years back (more like 20) years ago before EBay became popular and his family ddint know anyhting about tube ham radio gear. He was an avid Collins and Drake guy and since the gear was "old" and noone wanted the "old stuff" , the Collins and Drake gear was thrown into a trash dumpster and hauled off to the dump!!!!!!!
Man if i was the seller id be laughing my a$$ off all the way to the bank!!!!! These Sonar radios are a joke and NOT worth more than 75.00! I had a FS 3023 and it was a piece of CRAP!!!! Even with a D 104 it still sounded soft and low...

There is a guy who was part od our cb gang or whatever and he used to make fun of hams on anything next thing he gets his licenes and I haven't heard him on vhf or his holy cb I go to his qrz and its all minty boat anchor rigs....and now there on CL for $1k and up probably because there old heavy there nice but.......bad investments imo....crazy.

Thats one thing that really bugs me is these guys that bash hams and make fun of them. They go out and get thier ham ticket and they are BORN AGAIN and act like they have nothing to do with CB radio. Those guys pi** me off! Hypocrits i call them. I myself am a General class 5 WPM ham and i ALSO consider myself a CBer as well!!! But im NOT your average ham....
