Prices have skyrocketed. When I was selling CB's 10 years ago I could ship a standard Cobra 29 pretty much anywhere in the US for $14-16. Occasionally I'd have a $18-$20 package. Best part were those flat rate $14 boxes, most of the smaller radio boxes would fit in those for shipping.
I have a box of 4-5 Cobra 29's/25's here I listed on Craigslist for $100 and some guy asked if I could ship and I said yeah, if you want to add $100.
I asked UPS recently about the increase and they said it was partly due to gas costs, but those have tanked so perhaps prices will come back down.
Known as collusion.
Bribed the Congress in the 1960s to allow “private enterprise” to strip the single
profitable end of the business. (Wonder why it runs deficits?).
What they forgot is that the
United States Post Office is provided by the
Constitution of said United States.
A document NOT amended, thereby.
A service provided far more cheaply previously.
No reason not to pull the rug out from under these crooks.
You television-watchers are under the belief the Post Office is outdated & inefficient.
I wonder who put that idea in your head?
The common culture of these United States was SIGNIFICANTLY enhanced by the low-cost and highly-reliable service of the USPS. (Who made that argument, and was first Postmaster General?).
Attacks didn’t cease then. And began earlier.
This is an attack on language, physical-form.
“Things” are concrete concepts, described.
The Net is neither low-cost, reliable nor subject to public scrutiny.
