Actually, most of the equipment the ARRL has has been donated by the manufacturers or dealers. 'Brownie points' you know. They aren't going to spend anything they don'e have to, that's so it can go for salaries.

No mod limiter on that machine. It uses low level balanced modulator with carrier injection for AM. By carefully balancing the carrier to mod level, you can achieve an unlimited positive modulation (so long as the ALC is disabled). However, the echo mic would be interesting. :wink::tt2:
