Home Homebrew 1/4 Wave 10 Meter Ground Plane

Changed the location and altered the angle of the wire radial.
The locals’ signals went up a somewhat and they are receiving me stronger as well.

Homemade Sirio Boomerang antenna. :p
Replaced the wire radial with a 4’ Firestik. The Firestik has a tunable tip making SWR adjustments simple. It’s flat on 20 and about 1.1 on 1 and 40. Now just need to get it in the air. :giggle:

Jim, what antenna are you running on the top there (the vertical one)?

Ed, the vertical is a 10 meter hamstick. With the steel whip pulled out all the way, it works great for 11 meters. Coupled with the Firestik, it makes a terrific CB base antenna. Works better than it did with the wire radial.
