Hopper built amps/ICA manufacturer

2 people are making Dave Made amps under separate companies. They

The two Dave Made companies are individually owned by former Dave Made employees who went out on their own. I believe they are both making half way decent amps. Not perfect but good enough. I am sure someone will politely "correct" me if I am wrong. The original Dave is no longer making amps at least not under his name brand. The fascinating history of his amps and subsequent spin offs can be pieced together by scanning archives of CB forums. I have always wished someone in the know (and there are those on this forum who were literally part of the history) would anonymously summarize the history of amps. I picked up a lot of fables about some builders. But for now it is just fireside chats for our children.

If you are a rock music fan you can appreciate the evolution and spinoffs of rock bands as it is amazing to see what other bands that band members played in before they became famous. There is a "family tree" so to speak.

While I never knew him well at all, growing up, Hopper (Grasshopper) was a local here, learned some stuff from him and a few others on the radio in my early days when I was just getting interested in radio repair / amps, seems like a long time ago now. I didn't know he had a Youtube channel, but had heard he was building amps again and something to do with ICA as well. Use to live fairly close when we lived around Whitehall Ohio. Nice to see he is doing some radio stuff / amps again.
