Please forgive me for asking this question I’m 99.9% sure I know the answer I just like to verify. I do feel embarrassed to ask such a stupid question please don’t slaughter me on here...(y)

I recently bought a MFJ 300watt dummy load and I was thinking since it’s 50ohm perfect already I don’t need an extended length coax correct?? I could use just a small jumper (18in) from radio to watt meter; another (18in) jumper to dummy load... correct????

Im sorry for the stupid question I guess it’s such a dumb one it’s not easily answered by a quick google search (n)

IM NEW! I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO

I need the answer myself thanks for asking.

Buzzard78945,
No slaughtering here. Just as long as you hit yourself in the forehead with a ball peen hammer!
You are absolutely correct. At 50 ohms, any length of coax will do. If someone tells you differently, they have hit themselves 1 too many times!!
