I'm looking into possibly buying one of these rigs.

I know about the internal battery that needs to be changed every 10 years or so.And i'm also aware that the battery can be replace with a pc board to eliminate battery all together.

Beside that,whats your review on icoms 751a?

Had one for several years, drifts a bit but very nice radio and I enjoyed mine up until I got out of radio for a while, sorry to have let it go now that I think back on it. Had everything to go with it too...

It's one of the BEST HF Rigs out on the market. Excellent RX, same goes for TX audio quality, and the variable Noise Blanker is one of the best! The one I have has the built-in PS and I really liked this rig. It's put up in the box for now though, while I play around with my FT-897D. This is an old post.Finance's went sour.But i still know where to buy one thats in excellent condx. For now i will keep using my FT100D paired up with the MD100 mic, it has served me well.
