I have seen several reports about the latest Optima batteries and lots of guys have been saying the same thing - the newer ones are not as good. I guess it's a different company now.no more optimas for me. plus a local retailer that carries optima told me he isnt impresed with there newer batteries. he thinks they arent as good as they used to be.
I had a Yellow top go bad in just 9 mo's. It was a Deep Cycle 65 amp hr, I did get a little over $100 back for replacement though.
I have also had really good luck with the same battery as above - It was 11 yrs old when I sold my truck.
But personally, I will never buy another Optima, the next ones will be made by EXIDE.
