Imax 2000 cracked right out of the damn box!

Gain-Masters end up the same after a while,

cracks start at the hole sirio drilled to pass the coax through & propagate up the bottom section end up looking like your imax, they snap just above the choke housing in wind,

cracks also start at the joints as soon as you tighten the hose clamps assembling them from new, they snap at the joints in wind,

did the box have any marks on it like it was mashed in shipping. the last time I saw one damaged like this it had been mashed during shipping.. at least that was what happened to the one I got years ago. the shipping company's are bad about just throwing things around and piling stuff on top of each other. they do not care what happens as long as they can get it in the truck. one time I had to go to UPS to pick up a item and they were just throwing boxes and packages around and letting them hit the floor.. I made a comment about what they were doing and they just said we have to hurry to get items unloaded. that is why you get boxes with corners crushed in

If you don't get it replaced/resolved, I would give it test on some good known coax at about 10ft off the ground. If it passes, just get a 3M Scotch pad in medium and scuff the entire area where cracked and then rattle can some layers of clear coat on her. Should last many a year depending on how many coats applied. The prep work is just as important as the application. Another tedious but better process would be to re-gel coat that entire section. A bummer for sure. Hope they make it good for ya.

I bought it from ebay because they have strict money back policy.
I emailed the store owner direct and he said to mail it to solarcon and they would replace it free of charge.

I bought one off eBay also, $130, was supposed to be brand new but when I got it was very used with the connector bent, I shipped it back and waiting on a new one now from a different source.
