@Bill Doyle : When you're in a sub-forum (for example, this thread is in the General CB Services Discussion subforum), there should be a clickable box that says "Post New Thread"; it should be somewhere around the top of the page. I'd describe it's location, but I have never been here on a computer; only my phone. So I have no clue what this website looks like on a real computer.

Only antenna that works in my attic in an inverted "V" dipole, had no luck with firesticks or beams.

Bill forget the ground plane kit it does not work. A99 or imaxx 200 will work just fine.

Thanks Guys,
I ordered an A99 without the ground plane from e-bay today.
I think my old base is shot. I can't even get the needle to move
at all when I key the mike now. I have been wanting to pick up a base with side band anyway. 73 to all and thanks again.
