Info on antenna's I have been reading

tnx

Thankfully, there are many who find "joy" comes from "helping" where one can.

Working on a article about the sigma IV now...hoping that will be of use.

Kind regards,
H.

Hey Henry, I've been discussing with some of my buddies how the S4/NV4K works for many years now. I look forward to seeing your comments. I have my ideas about how the S4 design works, but I don't think they are very popular ideas around here.

Good luck.

Great info and good reading for anyone who is interested. Though some of the graphs look like my grandaughters spirograph at times cause I dont understand it totally I am learning . Thank you.

Nice work Henry. I just hope your ideas on the S4 are as clear and as distinct...whatever you have to reveal.

Thanks,

Bob, I emailed you my collinear StarDuster, A/P, and I-10K symmetrical vs. asymmetrical responses to you early this am. I haven't rechecked it...but I hope it's as clear as Henry has done for us here on his article on modeling patterns.

i answered the email eddie, you will see there is no v its stuck, its better to use pm on here,

look at the lobsided pattern of your co-linear, the stub is radiating,

it looks to be due to the element and stub lengths been incorrect raising the feed-point impedance & screwing the pattern up,

you can't just add a phasing stub and upper 1/2wave without adjusting the conductor lengths to correct for loading effects,

inho tweaking the lengths should bring the phase inline and minimise stub radiation,

you also used 1/2wave & 36ft grounded masts causing low cm impedance and high mast currents,
current flowing on the mast is current not flowing in the radials,

try disconnecting the mast from ground or make the mast odd 1/4wave multiples to raise mast common mode impedance,

good luck.
