It's fun and functional

Two years since I posted this, my station has a different look. As you all know, it's an ever evolving project.

And this is my newest baby you see sitting on the desk. I can't even begin to describe how great this radio operates and sounds.

I most recently had a long QSO with @unit_399 in Columbia and did very well.

Thanks, Steve. The radio is spot on frequency and so far I haven't had any issues with it. I have a habit of checking myself with a monitor radio so I can tell if I'm on or off frequency. This only takes a minute of my time. So far, so good!

@unit_399 JJ, It was @undertaker who pointed me in the right direction for the desk mount/brackets. I ordered from Bell's CB. On his main page you can go to cb accessories and find different variations.

Hey Chris,
I've used several microphones on this radio and the one I definitely don't like is the stock microphone. You have to eat it just to be heard. Some of the others are the Stryker dynamic, Procomm power and one that JJ sent me to try. I believe it's a Marantz from back in the day. It works very well. I don't know if I have a favorite just yet, but two of them, the procomm and Marantz are front runners. Time will tell.
