I have always wanted one and now I have one. I talk SSB a lot and heard these were great radio's. Now I have one. Been talking on RCI2950 ssb for a while. I took top and bottom off and looked around and took some pics of the 2510. I was wondering if anyone could tell me by looking at the pics what mods have been done. I was hoping the Rogerbird chipswitch was in it but I don't think it is. Looks like it has had new finals. I was also notice that 27835.00 was reading channel 39 is this common with changeover to 11 meters? Made first contact in Washington State said it sound good, but audio was down. I found mike button and pressed it he said it got louder. I am puzzled the audio gain dial is not there and just the button. How do you turn audio up and down? Please take a look at the pics, maybe you can tell me what has been done. Thanks

If you like SSB you will love the 2510! They work ho hum on AM but that can be resolved with a few mods. :) Besides the Clear Channel AR 3500, the 2510 has always been one of my fave 10 meter radios ever made.

I have no ideal. That''s what I'm asking if someone knows any thing about the mods they see on the board

That radio has the standard chip and yes its normal that the frequency and channel are not in sinc wityh one another. The 2510 is the best radio in its class and is actually considered an amateur radio in the amateur radio community unlike any of the other several glorified CB or (export radios) of the alike class.
