Just got banned from cbradiotalk forums.

Things been slow over there for some time now...Think Bozo has the ROBO sending out messages to old members email addresses in hopes to try and lure some back...He also tried revamping the Forum to a facebook version, but that didn't go over very well either.
I wonder if I got one. I used a spoof email address. I didn't list my phone number, occupation, yearly income or ssn either. I probably couldn't mention my employer since they aren't a sponsor. 
Nope, not kidding. That isn't the first one I have received. I got one about 30 days after I got banned. I wrote back as long as the Asshat Clown was in charge I would not be back. The censorship on P.M. I felt was an invasion of privacy. I don't miss them. I guess it is time to load up a container for a donation.

It’s about revenue. Targeted advertising. More viewers equals higher ad rates. OR any ads at all.

This is the only forum I bother visiting anyone. Just too much BS and bad info on other forums. I got banned from one of the forums after years as a member because someone asked for help with something and I posted a link to a review with info that wasn't one of the sponsors. Those other forums are nuts.
Bozo never made any bones about monetizing his site. The "radioraffle" thing seemed self-explanatory.
A forum run by a for-profit business has only its own interests to serve. (ah, *opper, cough... cough..) No need to apologize to anyone for that, but it's better to be upfront with it. Pretending to run an open forum while censoring it for your commercial ambitions is just dishonest.
Then again, someone you can't trust online probably can't be trusted with a business transaction.

As Americans have all been reduced to wage slaves, we all of us understand about the cost of things.
Ideally, one spends well rather than poorly as a result of reading online among other enthusiasts.
And a contribution towards such is that way of passing it along: dollars and/or worthy information which drew participants in the first place.
