So here's one that many of you fellas have spoke about and some of you even own. Glad to see somebody finally showing the innards of this guy. I've not been convinced that it's something new under the sun. Even had suspicions that it's produced on the same assembly line as the workman dm-452 mics and this video kind of made it appear that way even more.
Ptt switch, electret element, pcb looks the same minus the echo components and the outer carcass.

Not knocking the mic by any means, just think it's pretty overpriced compared to the workman version that looks dang near the same inside.

I have the echo version of the mic. It worked great when I got it. BUT…then after 2 months sounded like crap on SSB from my buddies report. He sent me a vid clip and ya it sounded bad on SSB. It still sounds good on AM but for some reason SSB is a no go. Went back to the stock President mic.

That would cause frustration, especially for the price they are. Strange that only ssb sounds bad.

So the version with echo is probably just another clone of the 452 echo power mic.

The weird thing is they are $70 in the US and $40 (33 pounds) in UK. The build quality reminds me of a 452, definitely not a $70 microphone.

I don't believe there's anything special about this microphone. I used mine for a few months before shelving it. It's fairly large and feels clunky, as @undertaker puts it, and I don't think there's much difference between this mic and the Workman equivalent, other than price. But, this is only My opinion. I definitely had some buyers remorse with this one. I'm sure there are others who love it.

I should put it on ebay for $250.00 Hahahaha
