k40 or sirio p5000

No it don't as far as I know. You have to remember that this is a mini SUV. I'd put in the middle of the roof but can't because of the embossed roof. You ought to see how close it is to the windshield.

Individual results may very. Wouldn't want someone else to immediately cut that much to get in the middle.

I ended up cutting about 7 centimeters off and could use another 1 centimeter cut off. But it's flat across 1 meters. That's the way it tuned for what I'm driving. The antenna is bottomed out in the holder.

The are other factors involved, Such as how large the surface (ground plane) is that it is mounted on. the useable swr curve for mine is much larger than you are seeing. But then again it is a larger vehicle and I went bonding crazy with it as well.

That 'bonding' of body parts just means that there should be a good electrical connection between them and the frame of the vehicle (or some other central/common point). I don't know what you've heard/read about that bonding process. But, it isn't as 'exacting' as some think.

I've enough to know that there's a lot of beliefs and opinions that differ from each other. There ought to be a golden book somewhere that's got everything concerning radios, antennas that's chiseled in stone. There's a local tgat lived near me that has a Maco V58 mounted 15 feet off the ground. He thinks that because it has a ground plane that he doesn't have to elevate it as high as feasible in order to talk far. He uses it on 11 meters and some freeband frequencies.

You are correct. It is not exacting...But it helps.
