Ok i know people are going to say sirio over k40 but my situation is a 30 watt max mobile i dot want to spend over 100 with a mag mount shipped and i need something i can take down to avoid my neighbor screwing with it.Alot of people rip on the k40 but i dont see how its that bad i mean its made in usa and i will never buy another wilson failed on me after two months wilson 1000

I bought a recent manufactured K40. It's in the landfill rotting. Piece of shit is now made by a company that don't even know a damn thing about it.

Go ahead and get one, but it won't survive many removals. The new ones truly do SUCK.

Wilson's are even sucking in quality now. I know Universal Radio still have a decent stock of older USA made Wilson's. Plus, they have the cheapest prices anywhere on the Wilson line.

Look at some other comparable antennas with a quick disconnect. There's a few out there.

list a few mag mount quick disconnects that aint a bitch to tune and are good for dx

Soooooo, why is the Sirio better than the K40? I want some numbers. By the way. I have a K40. Got it for nostalgic reasons. The Sirio's do look cool!
Last year I ran a Sirio after many years of running a Wilson 5000 hardmounted. What I saw talking local was an increase on the receive as well as better reports from others. The Sirio has a longer whip and overall a higher quality of materials and construction. In my books the longer the whip, the better.
BTW, the Wilson was an old one with a serial number engraved on the bottom.
