While you are doing the mic I would strongly recommend doing the R2213 Resistor Replacement mod. If you don't remove this resistor from the main board then it's only a matter of time before you have major issues. I done it to mine just in time as I could see scorch marks around the resistor on the main board. If you don't know how to do it follow this article - https://www.computer7.com/yaesu-ft-840-modification-for-27mhz/ The mod is a must !
