is there a mod for this transceiver to operate on 11 meters? I've tried to do some research with no luck.

Yeah I saw that mod. I'm not sure if it will allow 11 meters operation or not. I guess I could give it a go. Anyone ever tried this?
It will TX anyplace it will RX. I'm pretty sure you can tune to 11 meters on that rig, so I don't see an issue.

. That was so long ago I didn't even remember posting it and was wondering what you were talking about.
Ok. I've got a new problem with this radio. The led screen isn't working at all. Completely black. No leaking caps or any residue of cap leakage on the led board. What else could be causing this?

There is the problem with memory batteries behind the front panel of the displays...if left in and not changed or the mod done to remote the battery...it will eat the board traces off the display board when the battery begins to leak.

Look carefully for any broken wires or a loose or missing cable harness plug out of place. Sounds like no power at all getting to the display.
The flat cables in that radio have a bad habit of popping out of the socket at one end.
