I've eyeballed that specific speaker in the past myself but wasn't sure how the 4 ohm impedance would play with the export/cb 8 ohm. Seems like you had the same idea but went forward with it. That specific speaker is also sold under the Macom Kes-5, same speaker, same specs with different name but a lesser cost. I might jump on the band wagon with you on this one if sounds as good as you say it does.
My current truck speaker sounds, but doesn't sound very good... (off to the right of the radio)

You
will find it a substantial upgrade from the OEM speaker in console. That thing’s the very-near equivalent of the radios built-in speaker. Thus
audio quality goes way up.
Has a VERY long cord (relative to what’s needed in a big truck), so mounting it in the drivers side overhead bin is E-Z. (HD VELCRO and zip ties around bin cords).
With that length can use MIX 61 1/2” ID ferrites to get multiple wraps at each end.
I like using 1/4” ID split-loom. Taped at each end. Makes tangles unlikely and provides protection. Make some S-hooks from a wire shirt hanger to drape the speaker cord from the console at headliner edge leading over to the bin.
As a backup speaker
that’s highly weather resistant it’d be hard to go wrong with the KES 5. If for some reason I wanted to hear the radio while outside the truck
this is the one to have as I could hang it from closed window or door (with a rain shield or not).
I’d never dare let the CLEARSPEECH speaker sit out in the sun, wind, or rain. You’ll find reviews where the off-road crowd hoses down the interior and a KES-5 is in the vehicle.
It’d be nice to know how one does with an outboard DSP filter as compared to a CLEARSPEECH. The audio quality of the latter has an edge, but is it enough to overcome the desire to have a “tough” speaker?
Keeping the external filter at the radio location for ease of control (with the speaker “remote”) might be that answer.
