know how long 4 info on call letters

First, congratulations!
You've got the easy part done, now the hard part is waiting for the paperwork to catch up to it's self. :) On an average, figure about a week. It really depends on how fast the results are sent to the VEC, ARRL/W5YI/whichever. So, figuring the Post Office, and how busy the VEC is, holidays, and the color of the socks you were wearing at the time, a week ought'a cover it with time to spare (probably shorter than that). @#$, that helps a lot, don't it?

Congrats on getting your ticket Bill......

Like Doc says, about a week....(7 business days approx)

It'll show up on the FCC's site first, then about a day or two later it'll be on the QRZ look-up. Once it is published on the FCC site you are good to go....

First off CONGRATS Bill!! Shoot mne a PM when you get your callsign we can setup a time to get on 10 meters and we can get a contact. The kids and I can have your call written down and if any of us hear you on the band we can give you a hello.

Now as far as time frame it will appear in the FCC database you never can judge how long it actually will take. My first license took over a week my general I took when my wife and 2 of my kids went for there tech my General ofcourse was valid right away using the (Temporary AG) at the end of my call and the 3 tech license and my upgrade was in the database in 3 days! Testing was on a Sunday and licenses were in the database that following Weds.

Again congrats and enjoy the hobby it really is alot of fun and the bands have been opening a bit so your entering at a great time .

Congrats on passing your Ham test. When I got mine it took 23 days to get mine. When I upgraded, my upgrade was posted the very next day. Most that I see are posted in about 4-7 days. It won't be long now until you're Official.
