Lafayette Com-Phone 23. Info

I only have this poor copy of the schematic at this time. For a better schematic plus other info, buy CB SAMS # 75 Maybe someone else has the original manual. If you have any particular question about this radio feel free to ask.

sunbulls,
That's a pretty good schematic of an oldie like the Com-Phone. A "Keeper" for sure. Thanks!!

The document is low resolution, even so thank you very much To acquire a copy of Sams is very difficult for me.
I have most of the early books, but not 75. To help complete my collection I decided to buy it. It will take some time for me to receive it, and for safety reasons, the book will also be placed in quarantine for 3 days before I scan it. So if you don’t mind waiting a few weeks, I may post a better copy.

Trouble is, every time I study a radio that I never restored, it ends up on my buy list. The 1306 final is a big plus IMO. If I get hold of one in the future on the cheap, there are several updates I’ve been thinking about. Several complain they don’t like the sound of the handset speaker or their speaker died over time. I have some modern 2 ½” headphone and HT speakers that will solve that issue. I might also swap out the mic cartridge with an Electret. There is already voltage inside the handset after it completes the connection to the relay coil. After removing the cartridge it should be easy enough to fit a small voltage regulator plus a few caps inside that will supply the Electret.
