LAFAYETTE DYNA COM 23 HELP!

Ok. Here is the info from Sams # 41. Sorry ... I screwed up when I edited my post and said it takes eight batteries (it takes 10... my bad). BTW ... twelve 1.2 volt nicads should work too. I don't think nicads were available in 1971 which is why they weren't shown as an option in the Sams - 399

FANTASTIC! Does it have any direction for using this radio? What size the external antenna plug is etc.? Can't find a manual so really don't know adapter sizes. GREAT STUFF! EMAIL ron222@embarqmail.com Thanks Ron

you'll still need 4 batteries in one of the grooves which is still too long if you only use ten and three each in the other two. AAA batteries are the same voltage as AA type but are shorter as well as thinner so you could try those with a tinfoil wedge if needed to make up the extra length.

Thanks but batteries were a bit shorter in the 1970's. They make them a little longer now. Just tap the + end with a hammer lightly and their the old size. You must be too young to remember. They also just came out with alkaline than. Two rows of 4 and one row of 2 with a two battery spacer is working fine. Thanks Ron
