Morning all, can someone explain why a cobra/ uniden style radio drives the snot out of an amplifier and yields better overall results over a standard 10 meter radio like a General Lee connex 3300 ect ect . Thank you all
I own a comp cobra 29 and a linc 2 plus . All my people know when I’m on the 29. My locals as well. Greater signal strength and animal like modulation.
The Lincoln is primarily a side band radio that also has AM mode. The only radio that I know of that can do big AM and excellent sideband is the Stryker 955. Usually when you make a side band radio big on AM it ruins the side band and makes it unusable.
