leaning toward the SPT 500

I actually made the antenna itself 1/2” shorter, and pumped it up in the air plus 2’ to 27’ to the coax connection.
So far, my receive appears to be a little quieter with the choke.
As far as SWR, if I shorten Additional 1/4” I should be at 1.1 channel 1& 40 perfect. Next time it’s down.
When the smoke finally clears, I’m going to tape A video camera to a adjustable pole, and see exactly what my antenna sees from the ridge I live on.
What length did you set your radials at?

I set mine right at what the manual called out for, I believe it was 105".
If someone has a different number for a improvement on performance, I am all ears.

1/4 wave length radials, 102" for a 5/8 gp on 11 meters, the manual does not address making adjustments to the radials, just says 105" as you stated, then adjust the length of the radiator to set swr at the desired frequency , not sure how critical the radials length is , thanks for answering, I have one of these new in the box, be going up as soon as I have the time to clear the cedar tree limbs
