I have only read one bad review from an unhappy customer.
His kits are spot on and work as advertised.
Radios?? I have never purchased one or sent one in for any work or modifications.
A friend of mine has had several radios from him and out of the box they were dead on frequency ( big group of SSB 11 meter ops here in N Fl.) and all sounded good.
I see where their are claims of the radio being adjusted to the MAX for output, then again the customer may have requested that.
I have purchased and installed several frequency boards from him and had no issues.

I just need a small radio for my new pick up. no place to mount one will have to sit on the dash.. am am 99 percent sideband.
Lester has a solid military and civilian background in advanced electronics. Many years of experience. I bought a radio off him a few years back. It had an issue that neither of us was aware of (factory defect), I sent it back and he fixed it right up for me. Dude is a straight up honorable man. His channel kits were big, back in the day.
Less has been around forever and maybe he had a good price on the Anytone but his other radios are way out of line
Lester Jernigan is a fine gentleman. He was an electronic tech in the US Navy, and was one of the best. He has been into CB forever (like me) and has always been on the leading edge of modification development. His work is impeccable. I recommend him 100%. He was the editor of SECRET CB (volumes 28 & 29), and, had SCB continued, his work would be the best remembered. He figured out the extended freq mod on the Uniden 980SSb, and I just berated him in another thread to share this info with us. But that non-withstanding, Les is the MAN, and if you want some work done, and done right, his shop is the place to go.
