let the skip begin on 11 meters

Man skip has been nuts all day long. I talked to 121 out in California a few times, then 114 up in Washington said I "broke his speaker, then bent his needle." lol. Both of those cats were on 38 LSB. Then on 26 AM I heard 231 in Florida and 913 in Kansas...one of them was playing some doo-wop music followed by Steppenwolf. I was able to break in there. I also heard 131 in Mojave desert on 28....damn if he didn't have some broadcast sound going on. I tried hollering back but he had a pile up going on.

222 here, I'm in Milwaukee, WI currently working, been on 38 LSB everyday since I got here last Wednesday. Skip is rolling for sure. Made several contacts out west as well as some locals. Been trying to write all my contacts down lately so I have a nice log. Ssb is definitely more fun, and you don't need gobs of power to get out. God bless and have fun dx'ing.

Great day Yesterday. The usual state side contacts Around 2400 UTC then got a big surprise at 800 utc (dusk is 600 utc here)China, Moscow, and Wales on 10 meters . Italy and Wales on 11, (555).

Sure the skip seems to be a tad better lately, but that just means mexico comes in better. I guess if I wanted to listen to echo/reverbs, single-double-quadruple roger beeps, and peat/repeats all day I would be happy. Radio has been maintaining an "Off" status for the last couple of weeks.

Just made a contact with someone in Louisiana and another 60 miles east of Charlotte,nc. The east of Charlotte was talking on a set of beams and I on my 1/4 SS whip on my tower. Not bad for a stock 4 watts swinging to 43 thanks to my Road Devil mic. Jersey's coming in now.

I'd be more impressed if you were both using 1/4 waves 1 party having a beam makes it a lot easier. SF is up to 146 if your not hearing dx your not trying.Band is open ,down under ,18 hours a day( Yeah I got to get a life)

146? What that ? By comparison, one guy is 25 miles away from me and can't hear me at all.

Hi , sorry .Solar flux high and getting higher, if it gets any better we will be able to work each other on a wet noodle.About the beam comment , Remember gain is reciprocal, of course locally it helps if you have the same polarization Hope to catch you on air .
