Lincoln 10 meter radio

The Aussies pay a lot for radios. Import duties makes the cost of any radio expensive down under. Figure on paying twice the price that we pay here.

Guess he is trying to recover his losses . . .
lol

I've gone through 2 Lincolns in the last 6 months , paid 200.00 for each one. Both in great shape with the 477s . Although I personally liked the one that wasn't modded as much as the other. (buggy)

Good radio ? I'd say yes for the most part. Great on transmit and audio , receive is that much more quieter then the 2950/2970s. (white noise) I did not care for them in the motor car , they (like the RCI's) are very sensitive when it comes to there receives.

I like all the radios , they just didn't fair well in my car with there touchy receives.(I think they all make for better base station use) Would never give more then 200.00 for one in good condition , just not worth it to me in the long run.

And yes , the over seas guys love these radios ! weather it's a Lincoln , 2600 , or 2510. It sure would be nice if they came out with a radio that had the Transmit and audio of a 2950 and the receive of a older 148/Grant. My guess would be HF , but those are way beyon my realm.

I second the need for what hes smokin and Ill split that and a bag of funyons and a bag of Doritos with Jeff!!!

What's sad is the price of the replacement MRF477 he includes... 150.00.

That's what I PAID for my HR2510 AND the Silver Streak 150...

LUCKY me, when I got the radio home, pulled the covers off to lower the deadkey, found a channel guard in it (installed CORRECTLY).

I have a 497 for replacement if it ever needs it.
