Listening on 10m

just hopped on 10 meter as well,455 is quiet 385 to...I am hearing a few south of the boarder stations but that is it

I just worked a "/M" in SoCal from Fl on .455, only signal strong enuf to work. there are other signals on.455, but so weak i can barely hear them.

there are many stations just 5Kc down the band:confused:

it coming in from all directions on 385

I noticed that over the weekend. I can picture 10,000 hams all listening to 10 meters, not one calling CQ and all thinking the band is dead.

At the same time on 38LSB 10,000 CB'ers are all talking at the same time because the band really is open.

I thought the same with 6 meter, I was calling for over an hour, well playing my recording of me calling CQ and nothing.

Made contact with Whiskey Delta today at 3pm Eastern time, good strong signal into the East coast.

Thanks for the QSO.
