Lmr-240 RG-8X crimp connector source

Not seeing much on Amazon or Feebay. Anyone got a source for small bulk packs?

I prefer the ones with soldered center pin and crimped shield. I have a bunch of regular solder connectors, but the reducer won't slide on my LMR-240 UF. Package says it fits 240, but not mine.

I got some of these silver plated ones from eBay. They looked OK, but the thread pitch seems different and won't thread all the way on and the real of the plug is loose and spins in the socket. I wanted to use the lot of regular PL-259 solder connectors I have, but the reducers won't fit my cable, even with lube.

My US made LMR-240UF cable, has a rubbery jacket that must be thicker than most

Guess it doesn't save trying to be cheap.

Yo Mudfoot: DX Engineering has them for the RG8X coax, part number is DXE-PL259CS8X-6.

They also sell a crimping kit I bought that works great, for different type connectors and such. Had to make up several jumpers with LMR400, using PL-259, N type, and even SMA with adapters. Again the local Mojave Desert Jeep club used CB, FRS, and Murs to communicate and I needed a bunch of RG142 jumpers with PL-259 and N type connectors on the other end for the band pass filters and such.

Ummm make sure the outer screw on ring is on the coax before soldering the PL-259 onto the coax......yeah!

NightThumper fixed up with some DX Engineering stash. Very high quality. I have a crimper that works great. Waiting on some LMR-400 crimp/crimp connectors that'll be here tomorrow. The center conductor on the Shireen cable I have, is larger diameter.

I've never used any crimp/crimp yet. Mostly use solder/crimp
