locktite question

I have seen many radios with a similar product on the SO-239 jack. Not unusual at all.
I have seen similar, just didn't understand why he would add more to that particular spot, but if some was already present.. I can follow the logic...
I use loctite on gun parts, such as sight mounts.
Never had it on a radio yet.
I bought orange (looks like Hemi orange) nail varnish to put new color between one of the grooves on chrome radio knobs for indication. Clean the groove really well first, then dab it in with a toothpick, then wipe off excess with a q-tip. Looks factory cool. Or you can use red; but factory Galaxys and Cobras use the orange - tho . . . cheap, effective fix . . .
