Longhorn N6

There is a provision for 10k on the channel selector board, I believe. This will only shift the frequency up 10Khz from the frequency you are on.
This came out from Ranger Yesterday.
They know users want these features but they leave them out of production.

Reminds me of an old friend who worked for Singer computers in the 1970s as a field technician. Yes, Singer owned a computer division.

The computer's memory circuit board was the same in all models, but they were sold with four steps of total memory size. Naturally, more optional memory boosted the sale price over the base model.

Turned out they only manufactured one memory board for that model. The four "sizes" of RAM were selected by DIP switches on the board.

Of course, Steve knew the switch settings and had mercy on a customer who needed more memory than he had ordered. Showed them where the switch was, and how to set it.

Got him fired.

So just how long before this Ranger info escapes into the wild?

Maybe as long as it takes for a schematic to escape?
