Looking for a CB / meter rig? Maybe 12m too?

I have been out of CB for a long time... I've been thinking about getting a 10 m/11 m rig

Back in the day I had a radio shack HTX10... And a president 2510 as well as a President Lincoln

I'm looking for something that will cover at least 10 and 11 m... I don't care if it's an older radio or it's a newer radio but I'm just not sure what kind of options are out there that are worth buying anymore... Ideally I'd like to keep it under $200 and small

I'd like to stay away from the 2510 and the Lincoln from the old days because they are really long in the tooth

I feel like the HTX 10 was extremely well made and probably would still be a good radio today especially if paired with an amplifier

But there's all sorts of new radios now... And I'm sure some of them being in the three to $500 range when new would easily be more like $150-250 when used

I would strongly suggest the Stryker 955
A very good radio. Most won't argue.
However.......IMHO........choosing a Stryker over one of nearly identical radios, on the inside, is like buying a Buick or a GMC instead of a Chevrolet because they have more "bling" and paying the marked up price because it's prettier. You basically get the same thing with a Chevy at a cheaper price!

They have some very good, modern radios at excellent prices. These new radios are light years ahead of the radios of a couple of decades ago

The HTX10 is getting pretty old and as I recall they could not be modified for 11m use. For what you will have to pay for one of these or an old 2510 you might as well buy new. Check out the Anytone radio’s or the Radioddty versions. Best bang for the buck and you won’t be fixing them.

Aslso check this out as well. A forum member has some nice options for sale.

I have used/owned every radio mentioned in this thread so far, and I still have most of them here in my shack now. For what you asked about, I would choose the QT-80 (AT-6666 PRO) first, then the QT-60 PRO (AT5555Nii short case) as a close second. No question, as these are true dual purpose (HAM/Export) radios. Mikes suggestion of the G90 is good too - it's another way to solve your problem (but note that the G90 has 20W maximum power output and is purely HAM focused).
