For anyone interested, I did manage to find a vendor for the ctcss board for the at6666.

I don't know what's up with best2wayradio.com In June 2017 I went to order the ctcss board, their website was down. About a month later, it returned. I ordered the ctcss board and a programming cable. I got a robot confirmation of the order, never anything confirming shipping. After 3 weeks of not receiving anything I sent an inquiry by email and their web page contact form. Never a reply. A week later, I resent using every email address I could find related to best2wayradio. Again, no reply. Finally, for the first time in the 15 years I've had a PayPal account, I had to file a PayPal resolution claim. I did get a refund. For anyone interested, I did manage to find a vendor for the ctcss board for the at6666.

Has anyone done any business with these guys and actually receive the merchandise? Did they go out of business and not shut down the website?
It's a shame too, there are a lot of vendors of the AT-6666, but best2wayradio is the only place in the world that lists the ctcss option for sale. Until somebody else comes along, I'll just do without.
the same manufacturer makes an electronic version too but I wouldn't think it's compatible with radio's like yours because it needs to be controlled by the radio CPU for tone selection.^^^ Thank you for your reply. The thing about the CommSpec ctcss encoder is the radio would have to be opened to change the tone. With the manufacture's board, the tone can be custom programmed for each memory, very useful when programming 10 Meter repeaters around the country which is what I want to do.

The ctcss option that every retailer mentions, but no one sells, seems to be made from a material called "unobtanium".
You beat me to it! LOL I meant to resound the other day and forgot to come back and post about an external CTCSS.Communications Specialists has an external CTCSS encoder that you can wire up to any radio:

They have a few other options you might like better, as well - check out their whole catalog.
That's the whole idea. Although the sun spot cycle is is at minimum, 10 meters does open from time to time.I take it you want to hit 10m...repeaters?
A world wide 11m repeater? Don't give me any ideas now.
