only one used one for sale right now and this one has the dual clarifier. all the new radios for sale is the factory picture and not the actual radio. when I 1st saw the difference there were several used 980 for sale and some had a single clarifier and some the dual.. I posted the link to the single and dual back then but not any used for sale.

I bought a "dual" back in 2013 thru LOWE's and it is a 561 series so these must be far younger than that - like around 2010-2012 era...

So Uniden got rid of that awful RD16HHF1 final? I may have to get another 980. They were always solid performers, but that hideous final.... if they did indeed go to a 520, that's the smartest thing they've ever done, other than removing that annoying beep...

I had a suggested video pop up on YT this morning from Bell’s CB on a “tune up report” for a 980. Video was recorded in July of 2012 and that radio has a dual clarifier. I’m not sure when Uniden started selling the radio, but this certainly has to be an early one.
