I had issue with the keys starting up and never finished the setup! Do you use it? Do old LOTW confirmations wait for download? Will I get some old LOTW cards once I get the setup to work?

I was inactive for a number of years and then about 4 years ago jumped back into 'playing' radio.

I only started using LOTW about 2 years ago. So I went back and uploaded the logs from the previous 2 years and had a number of those contacts confirmed.

Some people struggle with the initial setup and then seem to really hate LOTW. I followed the detailed instructions online and it went smoothly.

I like paper QSL cards so for new countries or unique contacts I still send a card. But for all other use I like LOTW to wrack up the confirmations.

It's been fun this week to watch the confirmations roll in on LOTW as the DX contacts upload their logs.

Also like LOTW for gradually getting bandfills working towards 5 band WAS without the hassle of sending cards.

I too like to use LOTW. I use the free version of Ham Radio Deluxe and the Logbook that is incorporated in it. I really like the convience of just highlighting contact(s) in the logbook and clicking of the LOTW upload button in HRD Logbook to send the entries to LOTW. I still get and send cards direct and from the bureau, but its also nice to rack up DX entities W/O waiting on a card.

Well I may re think LOTW....I was not able to get it working...resent for keys and still no LOTW. I guess it time I started all over.

As a matter of fact I do and have better results than with eQSL or mail. Second place would be through the Bureau.

I have been in IT for 30 years and it took me several tries to get it working. I actually got it working easier on Linux than Windows. I also have it running my my Mac.

Yeah I thought about actually getting an apple unit just to run radio programs on....I love my iPad it has never given any issues.
I recently bought a set of contest logs for all the major contests and love them. Enter the call sign it calculates the points and alerts you if you about to work a duplicate, after contest is over it creates a Cabrillo file to send in. Even creates statistics to use as strategies for next contest.
I may need your help one of these days if a can't get the program working. I recd an email from arrl yesterday with a new password on it so maybe this is the fix? if not I may ask them to clear out all my info etc and start over from ground zero. I think I might like lotw?? It better than nothing as I'm out of cards and have neglected to have some printed.....another thing put off!
